Last night I made Chicken Tortilla Soup in my new slow cooker. You can find the recipe here. It turned out really well, and it was amazing to come home from a long day and have dinner ready. I topped the soup with fresh cilantro, cheddar cheese, and tortilla strips. Overall, a success.

The Hubs and I went out on a “day date” Friday. We had lunch and did a little Christmas shopping… It was a much-needed day off.
This past weekend was a nice break, but now it is back to the Monday-Friday grind.

As much as I have big dreams of living in faraway places, Orlando will always hold a special place in my heart. It truly is a beautiful and inspiring city. We are really blessed to live within walking distance to Lake Eola – one of my favorite places in this town. The weather has been very chilly but really beautiful, so we headed out doors for some fresh air.

I have a serious Target problem. The thing is… I go into Target for a very specific item, like, say, a picture frame… But as I make my way around the store I eye the clothing and shoe section, and before I know it I’m cashing out with a multitude of various items not on my list. Sigh.
On an unrelated note, I love red lipstick. It’s feminine, glamorous, and chic. It can be hard to find the right shade for your skin tone, but once you do, it’s magic. The one I’m wearing is Covergirl’s Classic Red, which is very affordable and can be found just about anywhere.
