Lust

                                           {Sparkle and Fade Shorts, Urban Outfitters $58}

 I have been eyeing these shorts from Urban Outfitters for the past month. I love the color and the trouser style, and also adore the way they look with tights. I have yet to take the plunge since I have been trying to save money (especially with Christmas coming up so soon!), but I thought they were worth sharing. Enjoy!

Extraordinary Machine

You know those days where it seems everything is going your way? You just can’t help but smile? Well, unfortunately for me, today was not one of those days. I was feeling extremely emotionally vulnerable, and I never knew whether I wanted to laugh or start crying. Luckily, I had my girls Jewel, Alanis, Fiona, and Celine to keep me good company.

Two other things that helped brighten my day were my delicious ‘chocolate truffle’ hot cocoa and my cinnamon spice candle. Ah, the joys of fall.

The Sunday Chronicles

Today was a surprisingly calm day. Too calm. I got a little restless so I decided to get out of my sweatpants (it’s cold out!) and actually make myself decent.

I’ve had this little red hat for a few years and I still adore it. It reminds me of Kirsten Dunst’s character in Elizabethtown, which is one of my favorite movies. Every time I watch it I want to throw caution to the wind and take a spontaneous road trip. Which actually sounds quite nice right now.

A Slow Birth

It’s here. It’s been a slow birthing process, but I finally have my blog up and running. It’s meant to be a mixture of the things that I enjoy: daily style, cooking, baking, crafts, and other random (but great) things.

This weekend Orlando got it’s first burst of cold weather. I finally got to pull out my winter peacoat and root through my scarf collection. The boy and I went down to a festival by the lake… it was perfect ‘walking around’ weather and we had a great afternoon.
