Los Angeles

This evening Ryan and I will be boarding our flight to Los Angeles. California has long been a dream of mine and I am very excited to head out west. While there, we will actually be apartment hunting, as we are (drumroll please) moving there March 1st. Ryan will be pursuing his career as a songwriter, and I will be pursuing an acting career. I’ve always been quite the dreamer and I am so excited to whole heartedly pursue my dreams. It may seem unrealistic to many, but I believe some of the best things in life stem from an unrealistic idea.

Anyhow, I will be away and unable to blog until my return next week. Hopefully I will have a lot of great pictures to share with you.

A Casual Encounter

Today is a busy day of running errands and getting everything together for our LA trip. We leave tomorrow night, and I am so excited! Trying to do laundry, go to the store, get organized, etc. So this was my go-to outfit, because it is not only comfy, but I feel stronger in it. Something about these boots makes me feel infinitely tougher, like I can take on the day. And yes, it is all in my head, but I love it either way. ♥

Decor/Furniture Inspiration

Ryan and I will be moving into a new place soon, so apartment style/decor is fresh on my mind. The possibilities are endless (well, sort of). Granted, we are keeping most of our furniture, BUT we can still rearrange and go for a slightly different look, if we wish. So, with that in mind, I have been browsing some websites to look for inspiration. Just thought I’d share.

I hope you are having an inspiring week thus far.

Bacon Chicken Alfredo

Last night Ryan and I had dinner with his parents. We had Bacon Chicken Alfredo (Recipe here) and wine. Nothing brings people together like a great meal! The pasta was delicious – big thanks to Mamma Kirkland for preparing the dish!

Ode To My Apartment

This weekend Ryan and I are moving out of our apartment. It’s a sad time, as we love our place. It was our first apartment together, so it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. So, as a way to commemorate our place, I wrote a short little diddy…

Ode to my Apartment:

Apartment, you have given me

All a girl could ask for:

Vintage charm, large closets, and wooden floors.

And on this very sad day,

It is time to say goodbye,

So I pack up my belongings,

And have myself a good cry.

As a token of my thanks,

I grant you immortality,

For on this blog post,

You will forever be.
