Holiday Party Rush

So… I’m considering starting a Target Addicts Anonymous group. I’m seriously there multiple times a week. It’s a problem.

On another note, this past Sunday night was the employee Christmas party at my work. Since I work at a university, there are thousands of staff members. It was a huge party with a lot of food and drinks. They went all out. It was a really great night and I felt very grateful to work where I do.

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels

Over the weekend I made chocolate covered pretzel sticks. They’re easy, fun, and they make great gifts! I made different variations and wrapped them in treat bags. I gave some of them to my coworkers, and even put some in a Christmas coffee mug and gave that as a gift. I love giving homemade gifts to people. Last Christmas I made a tray of goodies for my in laws; it had homemade truffles, pumpkin cookies, and chocolate chip cookies.

Anyhow, these are yummy! See below for the quick how to.

You will need:

1. Candy Wafers Chocolate (Milk or Cocoa)

2. Toppings (Sprinkles, Heath, White Chocolate, Colored Toppings, etc.)

3. Pretzel Candy Molds (optional)

4. Pretzel Rods

5. Pretzel Treat Bags (optional)

*Most of these can be found at your local craft store

Directions:

Melt chocolate/toppings in microwave (follow instructions on the bag, be careful not to burn), then pour into tall glass or mixing bowl (I found a tall glass to be easier). Dip the pretzels in the chocolate, covering about ¾ of the pretzel. If topping with heath or sprinkles, do so right away. If drizzling with other toppings, allow to cool first. If you are using a pretzel mold, simply pour chocolate into the mold, add the pretzel, and let cool.

Put Music To Our Troubles...

Last weekend our friends Josh & Mary Hannah got married at the Winter Park Farmer’s Market. The wedding was adorable and we had a great night celebrating their marriage. Ryan and I love going to weddings and are usually the first to hit the dance floor. I only have about three moves, but I’m ok with that.
